Will Your Facebook Content Fail You?

Fall theatre projects are in full swing over here.  Are they for you?

I've wrapped up work collaborating on Roald Dahl's Matilda:The Musical, am in the middle of marketing projects for a newly conceived, chamber version of Lerner & Lowe's Camelot (amazing!) and just kicked off work for Monty Python's Spamalot - School Edition.

Speaking of liking and following, did you know that only 2 to 5% of the posts you make on your theatre's Facebook page actually get seen by your page's followers?

It's true. 

And it sucks. 

Facebook realized they can monetize attention on Facebook business pages by requiring an advertising spend to ensure your followers see your content. 

If you have 2,000 followers that means Facebook will show your post to 100 of them -- if you're lucky. 


That is NO BUENO for your ticket sales.  

I'm here to help you and your theatre game the system. Overcome that algorithm somewhat. Or at least do your best.  

While no solution beats investing in targeted advertising to ensure your content is being seen by potential ticket buyers, setting your everyday posts up for success is important!
